The left is funding the Anti-Tea Party GOP.
"The Republican Main Street Partnership has emerged as an outspoken, deep-pocketed player in pro-business GOP plans to beat back tea-party challengers next year. But the group's new super PAC has an unexpected source for its seed money: labor unions."
Unions. You know the Democrats biggest financial supporters thugs and owners.
They are doing their best to eliminate the Tea Party and like minded candidates from the political equation so they can be business as usual of screwing the rest of the country.

Even Paranoids have enemies
"Someone might be watching you through your laptop's webcam – without even activating the warning light. Reports say the FBI has had this capability for several years, and researchers at John's Hopkins were able to demonstrate how to covertly spy via webcams in MacBooks."
I've been accused of being paranoid. Those people who called me that pointedly ignore every news story I send them about Edward Snowden's revelations.
They totally ignore every other story I send them about the NSA, FBI, CIA, DEA, and ATF Abuses.
And yet they still call me paranoid.
I call them oblivious and clueless.

Please if you blog, link to the story I excerpt below. Lets get this out as far and wide aswe can. It seriously needs to be publicized.
"In case you don't know the full extent of GLAAD's fascism, let me tell you what GLAAD did to me.
I won't hyperlink this, but if you go to GLAAD's website and seek out their "commentator accountability project," you will find my name. This is GLAAD's blacklist. Within hours of GLAAD's publication of my addition to the list, which amounts to an excommunication from polite society, an e-mail was sent to the president of my university, along with dozens of other high officials in California, with the announcement: ROBERT OSCAR LOPEZ PLACED ON GLAAD WATCH LIST.
The e-mail stated clearly that as a result of my being placed on this list, I would never get a direct interview in the United States. (Whoever "they" are, they made good on the threat, because when I was brought onto Al Jazeera, they made sure that I was the only one critical of gay adoption, versus two hosts and two other panelists who were for it, and the host cut my microphone.)"
Please read that post. And if you blog, link it. If youo don't blog but have a Facebook account, post it there yourself. Please let's get the hypocrisy of the Leftists and GLADD out there.

And then he did some modifications. The first post is discussing the modifications he plans on doing, the second is after when he has finished them.
Give them both a read.

I'm still working on my two Rifleman Hawks. They won't be the same and my mods aren't quite like Kenny's. But when I get them doen I"ll post them up.

Did you know
that movies used to be filmed on nitrocellulose? You know what nitrocellulose is right? Let's just say extremely flammable and in some cases explosive. Many old films were filmed on Nitrate Base film through the years, until the development of Cellulose Acetate films. However Hollywood was still using Nitrate Base film up until 1951.
Where am I going with all this? Hack-A-Day has an interesting post about film that I thought you, my readers would like.

The law is the law
"Instead, they enforce the law. Any law – all laws. As relentlessly, as remorselessly as their historical counterparts. They kick in doors and frog march people out of their homes at gunpoint (as in Boston) and elsewhere. They subject minor traffic scofflaws and even those who have scoffed no laws at all to repeated anal-digital (and vaginal digital) rape. They beat up – and murder – 13-year-olds. They summarily execute people’s pets (here and here). Always in the name of “doing their jobs.” And always without remorse."

You are part of the problem because you cannot see anything other than the language. You disregard the message and focus instead on the language.
I'm sorry but sometimes you need to use improper language in your message, to make your point.

"I'm a good judge" … said by government employee and judge Gisele Pollack who, it seems, sentenced people to jail because of their drug use…while she, herself, was high on drugs.
But, in her defense, "she’s had some severe personal tragedy in her life".
And that's why, it seems, she's being allowed to check herself into rehab instead of being thrown in jail.
…because not a single poor person or non government employee who gets caught using drugs ever "had some severe personal tragedy in her life".

Words of wisdom
Over on the right under the heading Specialization I have words that I think are wise. and yes I do have two sayings that are attributed to me. And no it is not my ego. I say stuff like those to my kids to try to teach them lessons in life. For those of you who are reading this through a reader or a mobile web app I"ll post them here for you.
Specialization
"A human being should be able to change a
diaper, plan an invasion, butcher a hog, conn a ship, design a
building, write a sonnet, balance accounts, build a wall, set a bone,
comfort the dying, take orders, give orders, cooperate, act alone,
solve equations, analyze a new problem, pitch manure, program a
computer, cook a tasty meal, fight efficiently, die gallantly.
Specialization is for insects."

What many Atheists don't want to acknowledge.
"I have heard this “you can’t mix religion and science” argument so many times, and so many times the atheist gets away with making such a silly and irrational claim. A guy actually told me today that “Christians have always hated science.” What a bizarre and stupid thing to say; easily refuted, if only we take the time and endure the frustration. Modern science, despite the incoherent ramblings of historically illiterate fools, wouldn’t exist without religion.
Christianity hasn’t stifled science. Christianity has been its driving force and, for hundreds of years, virtually its only significant contributor. Copernicus, Kepler, Galileo, Pascal, Descartes, Newton, Kelvin, Mendel, Boyle — all devout Christians. You want to remove your science from my religion? Fine. But we’re keeping these dudes. You can have Richard Dawkins and his tales of “mild pedophilia.” Enjoy."
I know several Atheists, who are right now slamming Phil Robertson for speaking his mind and beliefs, and saying that "Christians want to go back to the stone age"
A couple of them have actually gotten in my face when before eating, I take a moment to say a brief prayer inside my own head. Not out loud, but quietly in my own head. And they got bent out of shape.
I call Atheists like that "Militants" And this is just my personal opinion, but to me, they are terrorists.
They intentionally go out of their way to provoke some type of confrontation with people who dare to show any type of religious behavior. They constantly denigrate the beliefs and faiths of others. And they do it in a way which is purposely insulting and degrading.
And yet if I or other try to speak out about how they treat us, they gang up on us.
I'm just trying to say my piece, but it's kind of hard when you have some barely out of his teens young man and his girlfriend yelling and screaming in my face, that somehow I am trying to force my beliefs on them.
They had their say. When do I get mine? Without being shouted down, insulted, and in 2 cases spit on.
Going back to Phil Robertson, everyone is screaming and shouting and making demands. All he is trying to do is to make himself heard over the noise. He is stating his beliefs. And for that the Militants want to take away his right to even speak.
I'm sorry but according to the Militants, the cure for so called "Hate" speech is more speech. But only if they decide who speaks and what is spoken.
Phil Robertson didn't say anything hateful. He quoted the Bible and stated what he believed. His belief and personal opinion. And the Militants are trying to lynch him in the court of public opinion.
Granted in the Past Mr. Robertson has said things which are untrue and biased in the past. But that was the past. Does he have those same beliefs now? Isn't he allowed to form new opinions? To modify his beliefs?
Not according to the Militants.
We have a problem here in America. We have too many Militants, who have been getting their way by throwing their tantrums and holding their breaths.
Maybe we need to call their bluff. Maybe we need to stand back up to them and shout them down for a change?
Maybe it's time we told them to sit down and act like they have some manners for a change, instead of spoiled bratty children.

Firearms Manufacturers, I have a question and favor to ask of you.
First the question.
Is it really hard to manufacture decent, good quality, inexpensive revolvers these days?
Sure most everyone is buying and carrying semi-automatics these days. But I'm an old revolver guy. I LIKE my revolvers. I like that they force me to take my time, maintain proper grip and sight alignment to hit the target. Almost anyone can take a semi-automatic and blast away at a target and usually can expect to get some rounds on target. It take concentration and time to do the same with revolver. And I find that relaxing.
Plus many of the larger, harder hitting caliber I prefer aren't available in a semi with a price tag that is affordable for most people. Especially in this economy.
For years I carried a Satin Nickle Taurus Model 82 in .38 Special with Pachmayr Gripper Grips for my EDC firearm. I just recently switched to my FEG AP765. Not because of problems with my Taurus, which I have put several thousands of rounds through without any problems, but because of my continuing health problems. One of which is arthritis, plus the FEG loaded is almost half the weight of the my Taurus unloaded. I have never felt under gunned with my Taurus or my FEG as I know the largest issue is always going to be shot placement. Plus if I ever find myself in a situation I need 20+ rounds of ammo, I've screwed up somewhere.
Now on to the favor.
For years, I have wanted to get an good inexpensive 3" round butt .357 magnum revolver that uses the transfer bar instead of a hammer nose. The problem is I can never find a good quality one for a price I could afford. I don't want a "Cheap" revolver, I want an inexpensive one.
Rossi has come out with one that is just over $300.00, which is not a bad price. However Rossi revolvers, have a very bad quality issue, which seems to have gotten worse since Taurus bought them out. Yes I have several Taurus revolvers, however mine are OLD Taurus revolvers, made before their quality went downhill. And Tauruses warranty and customer service still leaves a LOT to be desired.
And I do NOT want to buy an Arminus, RG, or other "cheap" revolver.
I'd love to get a S&W Model 13-3 like the old FBI revolvers if they had a transfer bar setup, or a Ruger GP-100 if I could find one with a 3" barrel and the round butt grips.
So why is it, there are no inexpensive, good quality, high power revolvers being made today?

Why does a small town need an MRAP?
"Councilman Blasts PD's Acquisition of MRAP Vehicle, City Manager 'Not Happy'
Banning city council members and city staff were not consulted publicly or in closed session about Banning PD's acquisition of an 18-ton Mine Resistant Ambush Protected (MRAP) vehicle they crashed in September, a Banning councilman said Tuesday."
Long story short, PD took delivery of an MRAP without notifying the city manager. MRAP was being driven hom, and had a blowout which caused it to take out a pickup truck, leaving the City of Banning on the hook for over 40 grand.
But wait, there's more.
"Police Acquisition of Armored Vehicles, Costly Crash Under Scrutiny
The Banning Police Department's acquisition of a surplus Mine Resistant Ambush Protected (MRAP) vehicle and their subsequent crash of the heavily-armored truck in Arizona took place three months ago, but an acting police commander and the city's spokesman said Thursday they could not comment because a personnel investigation is still under way."
If you read some of the comments on both stories, there appears to be a war going on between certain council members and the city manager.
My question is this.
Doesn't the city manager control the police departments budget and acquisitions?
If so, then why wasn't the city manager aware of the MRAP?

I hate Lucky Gunner
I mean I really, really, really have come to hate Lucky Gunner.
I mean first they send me some free ammo to test, and all they ask me to do is to write up a review of the ammo.
Then for Christmas, they send me THIS
The Chocolate Ammo, not the cat. The cat is Ms. Samantha by the way.
I mean I just HATE Lucky Gunner.
They have all that cool ammo, and they try to have some of the best prices in town. And I just absolutely HATE them, because I can never fit a good Ammo Order into my monthly budget.
I just hate them, I hate that they offer such good service and have such a wide variety of ammo. I hate that they use an active inventory system, so their website reflects what ammo they have in stock at all times.
I hate that they have some of the most nicest and polite employees who go out of their way to ensure that your order is right and shipped out as quickly as possible.
I hate that Lucky Gunner ammo isn't around the corner from me. As I can't just go to their place and talk to those great employees and try to wheedle free ammo out of them.
I mean, don't YOU just HATE Lucky Gunner too?

From Blue

I normally don't like his vids, but he hits the nail on the head with this.
Indiana hero teen killed in shooting
I blame Hollywood for this. Did you notice he tried to get everyone to say the gun fell on the table and went off? Hollywood is ALWAYS showing gun being dropped and going off. EEEHHHHHH Sorry, but today, most guns you could take a sledgehammer to the back of the hammer on a loaded pistol and it STILL wouldn't go off. All manufacturers weapons, pistols, revolvers, rifles and shotgun MUST pass a "Drop Test". That is where a weapon is intentionally dropped to try to make the sear fail and allow the hammer to fall or the firing pin/striker to release. It's been that way since the 60's at the very least, possibly even further back. And yet there is Hollywood, drop a gun and off it goes. The truth of the matter is that when firearms DO discharge from being dropped, it is because the person who dropped it tried to catch it. THAT is what cause it to go off.
Now because of stupidity a beautiful young lady has lost her life, and a young man thought he could get away with killing her because of Hollywood.
Homeschooling wasn't and isn't the problem. The problem is people whose jobs it was/is to protect children, aren't doing it. So now the .GOV wants to restrict your rights to teach your own children.
Some of the bad guys are both better trained While most cops only shoot 150 to 200 rounds a year in practice and qualifications. IF that.

Fiction Or is it the Future?
Communication or
That may be what you said but not what you meant.
"My personal reasons for owning firearms include hunting and competition" is something that I think is a pretty reasonable statement. How could anyone ever take that out of context?
But what someone who suffers from hoplophobia hears is, "I enjoy killing stuff and competing against other people who enjoy killing stuff so much I don't care if busloads of nuns taking orphans to visit the elderly are mowed down by psychotic felons who escaped from maximum security mental institutions!"
They hear or read one thing, but their own pre and/or misconceptions, make it so they don't comprehend what they are hearing or reading. And it's somehow the other persons fault, not theirs even if you can prove what you said or wrote.
They refuse to acknowledge that they may be in any way, shape or form "wrong".
So click on that link and go read about the undiagnosed and untreated, mental disorders that certain people suffer from.

Military wastage
If you are concerned about all the funds that the military wastes through incompetence and in some cases outright fraud, read the article linked below.
"Here’s How the Military Wasted Your Money in 2013"
And the article doesn't even take into consideration all the backroom deals, kickbacks and sweetheart deals between the procurement officers and members of Congress and the Defense Industries.
If you look around and do some digging, many of the things you find would disgust you.

Under the weather
almost literally. I've been on the netbook mostly and it's hard to blog on it without my other keyboard. As long as I don't have to type much it's ok. So until I either find my big keyboard or I feel better here is George's wisdom for you.

Someone is watching too much Mad Max and the Road Warrior
While the idea of getting your own AutoGyro is nice. Most of them are only for one person. The pilot. And they are not as easy to fly as you might thing. To get an AutoGyro for more than 1 person, you need a much more powerful engine and larger rotor blades. In fact in the movie, the AutoGyro they used was only able to carry one person. the shot they show of Max being taken back to the refinery was actually done in a helicopter, NOT the AutoGyro.
I had a request
I had a request from someone who read my earlier post about high rise belt slot holsters that I'm looking for.
So I figured I'd write up a post on what I "used" to carry on my duty belt back when I worked security and for the PD.
First I had 3 duty belts and what I called my light duty gear.
Duty Belt #1 was a plain leather Sam Browne style without the shoulder strap, with a high rise Brauer Bros holster similar to this one from Gould And Goodrich.I lived and worked in St. Louis so Brauer Brothers gear was available in almost every cop supply house. Add in 2 handcuff cases and 2 double speedloader pouches a flashlight/baton ring, pepper spray pouch, radio pouch and a glove pouch. And 8 belt keepers.
Then I had almost the exact same in both basket weave and patent leather.
I carried 2 pairs of Peerless handcuffs, 4 HKS speedloaders, 2 speedloaders were loaded with Remington 125 gr +p Golden Sabers, the other 2 were loaded with Federal 125 gr +p Hydrashocks .
My carry weapon was a Satin Nickle Taurus Model 82 with a 4 inch barrel and Pachmayr Gripper Grips. I still carry and use this revolver and I have put in excess of 10k rounds through it since I bought it brand new in 1992. The only real work I've done to it was to replace the hammer spring which was getting a little weak.
I also carried either a Monadock phenolic plastic nightstick or a 4 C cell maglight.
The only difference between my duty belts was on my patent leather duty belt I carried a 16" ASP extendable baton in a rigid slot carrier instead of my Monadock nightstick. When I wore that one I was usually working for the PD and they wanted nice and shiny. And carrying a nightstick when you were working with prisoners is not a good thing.
Nowadays my Every Day Carry, is my new to me FEG AP 765 in an Akar IWB Holster with a belt clip and 4 mags of 65 gr FMJ's that I carry in an old binocular case as I haven't found a mag pouch I like yet, and 2 knives. My Swiss Army knife and a copy of a Gerber bolster lock knife.
I'm going to talk to Mike aka Evyl Robot, to make me a custom holster for the FEG and some holster for the Taurus's as I've purchased a few more of them. I'll also see about getting some mag pouches made to my preferences, and maybe some speedloader pouches.

Just got 2 Cold Steel Riflemans Tomahawks
Just got the two of these I ordered from Amazon. Right away, the handles are too smooth, don't fit the head properly and I will need to use some rough sandpaper to rough them up and I probably will drill the handle to put in a lanyard after I get some more leather lace.
The head is very loose and the set screws had to go.
I flipped the handle and tapped the heads back on and they are much tighter now, but I will still get out the files and hand fit the head to fit the handles properly.
The painted on finish also HAS TO GO!. I'll get out the wire wheel and get all the paint off the heads, then I'll just lightly oil them including the inside of the head with some transmission fluid.
The edge needs to be touched up a bit, then angle of the grind is just a little bit off, but nothing a few minutes with a good file can't fix.
I've got two cheapo sheaths on order, but I will probably order some scrap leather from Tandy with the leather lace to make a decent sheath for them.
I have one of the cheapo SOG Tomahawks and it's only good for making kindling for the fire, these after I get done with them should make good camping tools.
Once I get the handles fitting correctly, I'll see how well balanced they are for throwing, but that isn't the main reason I bought them.
The main reason is they can be used for camping, the heads can be easily removed and used as a hand tool where the head on the SOG tomahawk cannot be.
With a decent sheath and a belt frog, this can be carried and used for a lot of small camp tasks.
If you want to order one for your self click the link below. And no I don't get anything for posting this.
